We believe that pharmacists play a really important role within the primary care context. As
the demands on primary care continue to increase, the role of pharmacists is becoming ever more important.
This course is designed to ensure that pharmacists are up to date on long-term conditions,
self-care and public health issues and equipped with the competencies they need to provide high quality essential services and lifestyle
advice, confidently deliver effective Medicines Use Reviews (MURs) and the New Medicines Service (NMS).
Directed by our experienced primary care team, this course covers the latest evidence and
guidelines as well as simple ideas you'll find really easy to put into practice. This event contains no theorists, no gurus and no sponsors -
just real life GPs who will be back at the coalface as soon as the course is over.
Who are we? Red Whale is one of the leading
providers of primary care medical education in the UK with over 13,000 GPs attending our courses each year. We specialise in producing
courses that are evidence based, very relevant to everyday practice and full of actions that delegates can take away and implement
Many pharmacists have attended our GP Update courses over the years and have fed back that they would like something tailored to them and their
CPD needs. If you haven't been on one of our courses, you may have heard of the GP Update Course from your GP colleagues. This new course
follows a similar style and format with material focused on the priorities for pharmacy in community and primary care.
We use lots of humour to help get through everything in one day - without compromising the
content of course!
We've drafted some text to help you convince your manager!
